"There is Beauty" by Delilah Wurth Hobbs

There is Beauty

There is beauty in the chaos and aftermath of destruction —

not the pain and devastation that is created

There is beauty in unity

Beauty in the realization that our society’s disagreements and polarization

Cease to exist when there is a collective need

Beauty in the fallen trees, the rain, the floods

Beauty in the natural eviction of hundreds

There is beauty because it makes us come together

There is beauty in our endless devotion to each other

There is beauty because it shows who we are at heart

When disaster strikes, the centuries of hate we have been taught to have can disappear

-Delilah Wurth-Hobbs
