Fizz Ed, a new business on Howard Street, has turned an empty warehouse into a colorful, family-friendly bar with a local craft vending machine and a modern theme. Upon walking in, customers are greeted by smiling, accommodating staff. There are paintings on the walls, and you can choose a seat at the bar or at a table surrounded by paintings. The menus are visually appealing, with the headings of the menu in a ransom font.

I had the Rainbow Greens Dip, which is a vegetarian option and costs $11.95. The dip had plenty of mixed greens and artichokes, with a slight cheese favor. To accompany this vegetable dip, they serve crispy and crunchy warm naan chips.
I also had a side of Mac and Cheese, $3.95, which was very creamy and seasoned just the right amount. There is a slightly smoky flavor to it.
Moving on to the drinks, which I found to be incredible, they have many soda combination choices, some of which contain alcohol. There are plenty of alcohol-free options for those who want them! I went with the owner, Amy Forrester’s, recommendations of “The Soggy Dollar” and “The Kicking Donkey.”

I really enjoyed this drink; it was my favorite of the two. The Soggy Dollar is very sweet and not too carbonated, with a tangy tropical taste. This drink was extremely refreshing and complimentary to the Rainbow Greens Dip.
The description of the Kicking Donkey, $9.00, is printed in the menu as follows: “Abstinence Cape Citrus NA Aperitif, set off by mango puree, fresh margarita mix, and ginger beer with a fragrant mint garnish.” This drink was very tangy; all I could really taste was ginger, but it was still refreshing. The ginger tasted very fresh, which was nice. I would say that, for anyone who is a fan of ginger, this is the drink for you!
The staff was very friendly and attentive. Our server, Ash, was courteous and charismatic. She was also knowledgeable about the menu. The food was exceptionally high quality, as were the drinks. At the end of the day, FizzEd has an inviting, inclusive, atmosphere that is easy to love!
