This Christmas
Though for most, the holidays are a cheerful thing,
But the side of Christmas nobody talks about
The sleepless nights feeling empty without them,
Wondering why they had to be the one to go.
After the glue to your family passes on, it’s never the same.
Tradition that was started by them
Doesn’t remain easy to carry on
Though the memories you made remain cherished.
For I have no family this Christmas,
And it hurts to know that I am not alone.
For I would suggest checking on your friends,
Who are visibly doing fine
Internal thoughts are completely different.
Some are going to be hurting inside,
They’re going to feel empty
And alone.
While everyone has a huge dinner,
They are going to have nobody to talk to.
They’ll be wondering what they did wrong
And what they did to deserve to feel
And to be this alone.
Nobody can console them
And nobody tells them that it is going to be all right.
Coming from somebody who knows,
Make your friends feel loved this Christmas.
