A Collection of Poetry by Nathaniel Stelchook-Gray

Does anyone know what lies beyond the hidden doorway? They choose to believe they do, but they don’t. The human mind cannot comprehend the pure actuality of nothingness, So they choose to make things up so they don’t have to be afraid of the unknown.

It is not I who is telling you there is nothing beyond. It is not I who knows what is or isn’t. It is not I who has traveled to death and back.

Maybe it’s a forgotten memory.

Maybe it’s where we come from. Maybe it’s purgatory. Maybe it’s the gates of Heaven or Hell.

Maybe it’s another life. Maybe it’s nothing.

Is it wrong to be a hypocrite? Or are you saving someone from enduring the same fate as you?

“Don’t do what I do kids, you’ll go into an endless loop.” Not like anyone would listen I didn’t listen Maybe I would now It’s the principal of having control over self Not letting anyone else control you I can’t say I don’t understand “I can warn you until I rot away, but you don’t have to listen” It isn’t just a warning, is a hint to save yourself from an eternal Hell

I don’t know if anyone will even see this, or if it will be censored.

No one likes to hear the truth.

Death is real.

Nothing lasts forever.

There will always be someone better or worse. It isn’t an insult, it is just pure fact. We tell ourselves these little lives in an act of self-preservation. I even do it, even though I know it’s all a lie.

Life is full of little lies. The weather is a lie. When a company says they made a new product which is the same thing as the last is a lie. We call lies mistakes sometimes. I’m sick of hearing; “It was a mistake”

When all it truly was a lie, a purposeful lie. The most common lie of all though is when you ask someone how their doing and they say, “I’m fine.”

Sometimes I look out the window and the colors are brighter

Sometimes I look out the window and everything is a muted color Sometimes I look out the window and everything is almost black and white I’m not colorblind, it’s all based on perspective.

How the light is shining How you woke up How you dressed How the temperature is Nothing is black and white It's a spectrum of colors A spectrum of opinions A spectrum of choices
