To Sonder
I sit and wonder.
My mind wanders to far places.
I wish to know strangers,
To feel what they feel deep down.
Their own thoughts,
Their own wishes,
Their own beliefs.
My heart overflows
As bittersweet emotions consume me.
A question I wish to solve,
A mystery I wish to crack.
Like a detective at work,
I try my hardest to understand.
Yet, I have no idea where they’ve been,
And where they're off to next.
There is beauty in knowing
That we dream different dreams.
