Day Four: Winter Snowfall by Brennan Smith

Winter Snowfall.

The cool soft snow falls on top of me,

Times like these make me miss a warm home.

The children playing in front of me,

Brings me back to a time when things were more simple,

When I could play without the worries of the world,

Pouring on my skin like the snow outside.

Winter Snowfall.

My body is shivering now in the frosty air,

The kids have gone back into their homes.

The street lights have turned off now,

as I pull the sleeping bag over me,

The cold begins to consume me,

Winter Snowfall.

What I would do to have a home,

And have a family where there is warmth.

The snow is so beautiful yet so cold,

My body begins to warm,

And as my vision fades to black.

I think of Winter Snowfall.
