Being a new business in Boone already means a lot of struggle, and even more of one when competing with a variety of other nail salons. Despite being a newer business, Appalachian Nails has proven to be successful even when faced with the hardships of its competitors. Their friendly staff along with a clean and professional atmosphere makes them one of the most inviting nail salons in Boone.
Upon arriving at Appalachian Nails off Highway 105, you are welcomed by a crew of friendly employees. App Nails also has a second location on King Street, but I have only been to their salon on 105. Here, their friendly staff greets you and will almost always seat you right away or in just a few minutes.
One of my personal favorite aspects of Appalachian Nails is that they only take clients by appointment, specifically at their Highway 105 location. This means that to make an appointment you must call the salon ahead and schedule a time to come in.
I love this aspect of the salon because other nail salons in Boone tend to be overtaken by walk-in clients without appointments. At these locations, your nails can take a lot longer even after you’ve called ahead because of the number of walk-in customers. Because Appalachian Nails is appointment-only, it is very easy to get in and out of the salon quickly and leave with gratifying results.
After being seated by your nail technician, you are asked what nail service you would like done. Then, you can either show your technician a picture of exactly what you want or pick from a wide variety of color choices in dip powder, gel, or regular polish. This wide variety of choices allows you to get exactly what you want.
With my many experiences at Appalachian Nails, I have always left with excellent results. Whether asking for designs or simple paint, you can almost always expect to leave satisfied. Their prices are definitely consumer-friendly when it comes to competing prices.
Appalachian Nails mainly focuses on services involving dip or SNS powder. A full set of SNS with no tips (extensions) adds up to $45 while SNS with tips is $55 and up. The rest of the manicure services they offer such as gel and regular polish range from $40 to $20.
These reasonable prices along with their warm and friendly atmosphere are what keep customers coming back to Appalachian Nails over other nail salons in Boone.
